Studio performance with visual artist David Böhm

I met David, who lives and works as a visual artist in Prague, in 2012 while we were both in residence at ZK/U in Berlin.  He is in Berlin for his opening of Based on Paper at Jiri Svesta Gallery and stopped by my studio to enact a 90-minute collaborative piece where, blindfolded and joined by a single rope tied to his drawing hand, both my movements and his direct how each of us interacts with and marks the space.  In this iteration, David drew on a single-sheet of paper – I think we both imagine a longer piece where over time, his markings may take over a space as my movement may become more confined.
